About Us
KOPI means Coffee in Indonesia. It is sitting together with family and friends. Connecting to loved ones or old and new acquaintances. Sharing stories and memories: the good, the bad, and everything else in between. Enjoying the days from the early sunrise until the sun sets. It is tradition and culture, mingled in a cup.
Those familiar feelings are what our founder kept searching for, especially being across the world and far from family for so many years. She found that there isn't many Indonesian coffee available except for Sumatra black roast in most coffee shops in Colorado or across the US. After more than 3 years of brewing the idea, researching, learning, and planning, KOPI was born.
We sourced our green coffees from the regions in Indonesia and roast it in small batches in the heart of Denver. Our goal is to introduce great Indonesian coffees to the communities and ensuring our coffees drives positive impacts throughout each process. Comprised of more than 17,500 islands, Indonesia’s rich and lush landscape brings unique yet exquisite flavor to its coffee. Today, Indonesia is the 4th largest coffee producer in the world. From the western tip of Aceh in Sumatra, to the eastern end of Papua, coffees are grown locally by small farmers and enjoyed together in families and communities.
So, we wanted to introduce the variety of coffees from parts of Indonesia and bring that little piece of home to you.
