Flores
Flores, which means “Flowers” in Portuguese, is home to the infamous Komodo Dragon and a breathtaking island nestled between Sumbawa and Timor. Located in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Flores is mostly a mountainous region where the highest peak reaches 2,400 meters. There are still several active and inactive volcanoes in the region. Ashes from these volcanoes have created an ideally fertile soil for growing coffee at around 900 to 1,500 meters. Two of the more popular types of coffee grown in this region are Bajawa and Manggarai.
